Health Guarantee
Becca's Yorkies guarantees your Yorkie Puppy to be healthy at delivery. I request that you have a licensed Veterinarian examine your puppy within 48 hours of purchase and a copy of the report sent to the breeder within five days following the exam to validate your health guarantee. If a health problem is found, you may return the puppy accompanied by a licensed veterinarian report along with all paperwork, including AKC papers, to the seller. The puppy will be replaced with the next available puppy of the same value when one is available and this may take up to 1 year.
This Limited Health Guarantee covers the cost of the puppy and the breeder is not responsible for any associated charges such as vet fees, etc.
My Yorkie Puppies are guaranteed against life threatening congenital defects I.e. heart, lungs, kidneys within one year of the puppies date of birth. We do not cover adverse reactions to vaccinations, open fontanels, parvo, parasites, luxating patellas, trachea problems, giardia, coccidia, descending testicles, hernias, hypoglycemia or allergic reactions as these can involve trauma or environmental issues.
All puppies are up to date on Vaccinations and Wormings.
In the event that this puppy develops a serious genetic defect, as described above, within one year of the puppies date of birth, the breeder will require a written report from a licensed veterinarian with proof of the disorder. The said puppy can be returned for a replacement puppy of comparable value as long as all of the terms of this contract have been followed by the buyer. If a replacement is not available at the time of return, buyer will be notified when a comparable puppy is available.
No cash refunds will be given, only a replacement puppy. Any and all Veterinarian expenses incurred determining the problem/health status of this puppy will be the sole responsibility of the buyer and no refunds or reimbursements will be expected from the seller.
Seller will provide a replacement puppy within 12 months of the return of this puppy.
If a congenital defect is suspected in a puppy death, a necropsy, at the buyers expense will be required and a copy of the report MUST be sent to the breeder within 7 days to validate this health guarantee. If a congenital defect is shown to be the cause of death, your puppy will be replaced with the next available puppy of the same value and may take up to 12 months to replace.
This guarantee is not assignable and is not valid if the puppy/dog is sold to a third party or if the puppy/dog has been bred before the age of one year. The buyer agrees to never sell said puppy to a pet shop, broker or puppy mill. In the event that they buyer is unable to keep said puppy for any reason, the seller will always take said puppy back BUT NO cash refund will be given.
This Guarantee is provided for the protection of both the Buyer and Seller.
Fresh water and food should be available to your puppy at all times. Any sudden changes in your puppy's diet can cause diarrhea. Make all dietary changes slowly to allow your puppy time to adjust.
Tiny puppies need to eat frequently and must eat alot of small meals to maintain blood sugar levels. A drop in blood sugar can result in Hypoglycemia. This is a serious condition that can lead to death if left untreated. If you notice your puppy acting depressed or lethargic, unsteady on their feet or glassy eyed, immediately administer 1/2 teaspoon of white Karo Syrup. Your vet should take a look at the puppy to be sure that blood sugar levels have been restored.
Your new puppy also needs plenty of rest after an hour of play time. Allow them to rest in a quiet area set aside for them.
Do not allow your new puppy to socialize with pets outside of your home as the other animals may be sick or have diseases that could be passed on to your puppy. Puppies are not fully protected until they have had their full course of vaccinations. Do not put your puppy on the ground in strange areas as Parvo or other infectious diseases could be present there and could also be passed on to your puppy. By taking these risks, this health guarantee will become Null and Void as you are putting the puppy in risky situations.
Some General Terms and Conditions
1. Breeder makes no Guarantee that this puppy is show quality or breeding stock as this cannot be determined
at such a young age.
2. There is no Guarantee on the adult size or color of this puppy as either can be determined by diet and
possible shading of the color which cannot be controlled by the breeder.
3. Breeder is not responsible for any veterinarian fees, tests, reports, treatments, nor for any
transportation cost receiving or returning puppy or stress or any related expenses.
4. All of my puppies are AKC Registered.
5. You will receive new puppy care information material and by signing the bottom of this contract you
acknowledge the importance of reading this information pertaining to the proper care of your new puppy.
6. This warranty does not cover adverse reactions to vaccinations, open fontanels, parvo, retained testicles,
internal/external parasites including giardia and coccidia, trachea problems or luxating patellas,
hypoglycemia and allergies.
7. This warranty does not cover any injuries to this puppy incurred once the buyer has taken ownership.
8. Deposits are Non-Refundable and there will be no cash refunds.
9. Buyer is responsible for continued proper care of this puppy including but not limited to continuing puppy
vaccinations, worming and heartworm prevention on this puppy. If buyer fails to do so, all warranties on
this puppy is null and void.
10. This puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of buyer possession. If buyer
fails to do this, all warranties and agreements are null and void between the buyer and seller.
11. This puppy is sold with the understanding that it will live indoors and be part of your family.
12. If a replacement puppy is to be given to the buyer due to a life threatening serious genetic disorder
within the first 12 months of the puppy's life, the breeder has up to 12 months to provide the buyer
with a replacement puppy of comparable value.
13. The seller reserves the right to have this puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of their choice
before a replacement puppy is agreed upon between the buyer and breeder.
14. This guarantee is offered to the original purchaser only and is Non-Transferable.
By accepting this puppy, the buyer will be bound to the provisions of this Limited Health Guarantee. The seller will not be held responsible for any contagious or infectious diseases this puppy may be exposed to after leaving the breeders property. The buyer agrees to continue Vaccinations and worming to insure proper health to this puppy.
I HAVE READ & AGREE TO ABIDE BY THE ABOVE CONTRACT. I UNDERSTAND THAT NO OTHER GUARANTEES ARE MEANT OR IMPLIED OTHER THAN WHAT IS STATED IN THE WRITING OF THIS CONTRACT. I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT BECCA'S YORKIES/REBECCA BURGESS, IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY EXPENSES INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH THIS PUPPY ONCE THE PUPPY LEAVES THE BREEDER'S PREMISES.
